Science enrichment opportunities to inspire and engage 3-to-19-year-olds.

Organizations and individual applicants can apply.
Description

Star Awards are a great introduction to problem-solving in STEM to young children (typically for ages 3-7, but suitable for any age). They offer children the opportunity to learn through hands-on challenges that focus on their everyday lives.


  • Complete 6-8 Star Challenges, each lasting about 1 hour. 
  • Use activities from the CREST resource library
  • After each challenge, children add a sticker or stamp to their CREST Star passport.
  • Challenges are assessed by a teacher, parent, carer or other adult. Awards are non-competitive and any child who has sufficiently taken part should be awarded. 

Cost

  • £1 (including VAT) per student in the UK
  • £5 per student internationally*

Application information

  • Estimated time: 6 minutes
  • Required for schools: School/organisation name, reference number (unique reference number, school number, or SEED code), delivery address
  • Diversity information of children who participated (select "not known" or "prefer not to say" if unsure)

* For CREST Awards in the UK and internationally, there is a minimum order size of 10 awards due to the cost of fulfilment and postage. 

** For international orders, a badge will be included upon Award achievement.
