An introduction to STEM project work ideally for 11+ year olds working individually or in teams. Bronze Awards develop research skills and allow young people to work like real scientists, technologists, engineers or mathematicians. They can design their own project, or use one of our free project resources and workbooks to kick start their thinking and keep their work on track.
- 10+ hours of work
- No set format for the project work; here are the eligible types of CREST projects. Or try a project from the resource library.
- Projects are assessed by a teacher, carer or other adult, and 11 of the 15 CREST criteria must be met to be awarded.
Cost
- £6 (including VAT) per student in the UK
- £12.50* per student internationally.
Application information
- Estimated time: 8 minutes
- Option to order for personalised or non-personalised certificates.
- Required for schools: School/organisation name, reference number (unique reference number, school number, or SEED code), delivery address
- Sample of work completed
- Diversity information of young people who participated (select "not known" or "prefer not to say" if unsure)
Steps for completing CREST Bronze:
When applying for personalised certificates for multiple projects, apply for all students in one application. In the student upload sheet, list all the student names and multiple project titles. This process works best if students are all from the same school.
See an explanation of the CREST process in detail here.
*For CREST Awards outside the UK, there is a minimum order size of 10 awards due to the cost of fulfilment and postage.
